The 2nd annual Dominion Riverrock festival, Richmond's own sports and outdoors festival showcasing the riverfront, drew over 3,000 participants and over 25,000 spectators to Brown's Island on May 14-15. These record numbers make Dominion Riverrock one of the largest outdoor sports festivals in the United States.

New to Dominion Riverrock is the excitement of Red Bull Canal Crashers. Extreme kayakers throw down huge tricks with plenty of flips and spins as they take off on a huge ramp. And, we are not talking just flipping over but full back flips in the air! Competitors are judged on the difficulty and precision of their tricks. Details.

Enjoy great music and your favorite beverage! Grace Potter and the Nocturnals will headline Dominion Riverrock on Friday, May 14. On Saturday, May 15th, Robert Randolph and the Family Band will perform as the headlining act. Details.
The Filthy 5k Mud Run kicks off Dominion Riverrock with some down and dirty fun. Start on Brown’s Island and run over the Lee Bridge to Belle Isle. A series of unique obstacles and mud pits await you as you travel the trails. Then it's back to Brown’s Island for one final mud pit before you finish in the middle of an outdoor concert. Details.
Mountain biking has undergone a serious transformation. Gone are the days when mountain bikers were known solely for grinding out steep hill climbs. Today, freeriders challenge the laws of gravity as they throw 360 Tailwhips and backflips. Details.
The James River Scramble is not your normal 10k! Run over a unique course bringing together some of Richmond's greatest riverfront attributes, including Brown's Island, the Canal Walk, James River Park, Belle Isle and the Floodwall. This is not a race for walkers! Details.
