Pro slackliners battle it out head to head in this extreme trickline competition. You'll be amazed at the level of balance, control and acrobatics performed by these Gibbon pros. The competition will consist of three rounds of single elimination format and will be judged on Difficulty, Creativity and Performance in order to determine the top 4 slackliners. In addition, throughout the weekend these same pro-level athletes will ascend a highline hovering the Haxall Canal, a spectacle assured to amaze you! An interactive slackline area will also be set up for everyone to try, but the competition will be restricted to pro level.

Registration:

This is a professional level competition and if you have never entered before a video submission will be required and approved before being allowed to compete.  Video submissions can be sent to jamie@gibbonslacklines.com.

Packet Pick Up:

Packet Pick-up is in the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar courtyard during the following times:

Thursday, May 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.*

A photo ID is required for adults to pick up your packet (not required for minors without IDs).

Competition Format:

16 -32 athletes will compete in a tournament style bracket going head to head with immediate elimination.  Each competitor has 2 minutes per match and will be judged on Difficulty, Creativity and Performance.  The winner of each match will move on to the next round.  1st through 4th place will be ranked and awarded prize money.

WEATHER POLICY

This event will happen rain or shine. However, it may be interrupted, postponed, or cancelled if lightning occurs or safety is a concern due to weather.  In the case of the event being postponed, the competition will be held as soon as event officials decide conditions are safe and reasonable for competition, which could include the following day.  As a result of postponing the event, it is possible the competition will be shortened due to time constraints.  In the case of the event being cancelled, the winner of the competition will be determined by rank at the point of the cancellation.  The event organizers will not be responsible for reimbursing any additional costs to the athletes as a result of the competition being delayed or cancelled.
