Packet Pick Up:

Packet Pick-up is in the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar courtyard during the following times:

Thursday, May 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

*NO EVENT DAY PACKET PICK-UP.

A photo ID is required for adults to pick up your packet (not required for minors without IDs).

Competition Format:

Competitors will start side by side within one of our two bouldering caves, competing on mirror-image routes to the top. Once the timer announces the start, the race is on.  The competition will consist of two qualifying rounds, of one route each, with the top 10 fastest climbers moving on to Final Round 1*.   The top 6 fastest from Finals 1 will compete in the fourth and final round: Finals Round 2 immediately following the previous round.

*Cumulative times from Q1 and Q2 will determine tthe 10 climbers that move on to Finals Round 1.

  12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Men's & Women's Qualifying 1 
  2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Men's & Women's Qualifying 2
  4:00 p.m. Men's & Women's Finals 1 & 2

Age Requirements:

Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate.

Awards:

Prize money will be awarded to the top Male and Females climbers.

1st $500
2nd $250
3rd $100

**A $500 bonus will be awarded to the combined overall top finisher that competes in both the Bouldering Competition & the Speed Comp. **

WEATHER POLICY

This event will happen rain or shine. However, it may be interrupted, postponed, or cancelled if lightning occurs or safety is a concern due to weather.  In the case of the event being postponed, the competition will be held as soon as event officials decide conditions are safe and reasonable for competition, which could include the following day.  As a result of postponing the event, it is possible the competition will be shortened due to time constraints.  In the case of the event being cancelled, the winner of the competition will be determined by rank at the point of the cancellation.  The event organizers will not be responsible for reimbursing any additional costs to the athletes as a result of the competition being delayed or cancelled.
